"Local food for the health of our communities, our families, and our lands..."
Our farm is on just over an acre in Alvin, Texas. We grow vegetables sustainably and sell locally. Our vegetable gardens are continuously mulched, permenant raised beds with no chemicals added.

The Farm:
The Farmers:
Annie, head farmer, loves her farm and everything edible! "I want to feed people tasty, healthy, and economically sustainable food. And I want to feed families not just sell vegetables to stores. I like to know who's eating my food and have them know me." She is constantly amazed by the diversity of life and the elegance of our ecosystems. Her favorite color is green.
David, "chairman of the board" and biology teacher, has a B.S. in Forestry. He loves trees. He'll will be contributing a quote soon. His favorite color is blue.
The Animals:
Here are some pictures of our old laying hens when they were little and fiesty! They were Barred Rocks and Rhode Island Reds. Only the Rhode Island Red rooster and two Rocks survived a dog attack but since then we have acquired more chicks....

...and now we have 5 americaunas, 2 buff minorcas, 2 black anconas, 2 brown leghorns, 2 rhode island reds, and 5 buff orpingtons for meat.
Lily:
Lily is our Black Mouthed Cur. She showed up in our back yard and it was love at first sight. We hit it off immediatly- she was all wiggly and happy and we gave her lots of petting. Alvin animal control tried to find her owners but we think she was dumped and, needless to say, no one was looking for her. So now she is part of our family and we love her a lot! She is the fastest dog I have ever seen and has tons of energy. We think she is just over a year old.
